I created a visual "choose your own adventure" novel called "The Apprentice Blacksmith" on Ren'Py to describe issues young workers may encounter in a new job and to explore the consequences of different choices using a fun, engaging medium. One particular issue explored in this novel is the culture of overwhelming demands and overwork of some company cultures, which are touted as virtues, but in reality treat their workers as means to an end, rather than individuals with basic needs and feelings. So, in this novel, the new employee must learn how to stand up for themselves to thrive and function in a sometimes toxic environment.
